Just about everything is locked up here. When I snapped a photo of this sad joke, the pharmacist, secluded in her own cage, demanded an explanation as to why I was photographing. The other staff are OK. Friendly security guard.

For the last five years, I have been coming to the CVS Pharmacy® located at 701 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, CA. The store close by my work, and so I would stop in for random items that I needed. Unfortunately, the store is in the worst shape that I can remember!! ALL items are locked up, which was not the case even six months ago. What should have been a five minute visit, turned into a twenty minute endeavor as I had to call a store attendant to unlock everything. CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT BE MADE TO FEEL LIKE THEY ARE CRIMINALS!! If this location is having an issue with theft, hire more staff and security. I counted one security guard and two staff, none of which were at checkout. While I value the convenience of this particular CVS, it is not a benefit to the community at current. Changes MUST be made!!

Painfully slow pharmacy. Always long lines. Lunch closures. A simple candy bar purchase - forget about it. Endless questionnaires on self checkout machines - enter your phone number, do you want to donate, did you use store bags, ... All I want is get a candy bar and leave. I noticed I avoid picking up my medication because of the dreaded experience

Loss prevention is killing this store! It will have a hard time being profitable moving forward. Don't be surprised when it is all boarded up.......

Terrible and unprofessional service from EDITHA! I walked in and asked for one item, which she said they would hold at the register.(Small body lotion)..while other shoppers were carrying baskets of products. Not sure why she singled me out, it was very strange truthfully. You need to either hold ALL products from ALL shoppers or just do away with it all together, it's profiling, (and I'm not black by the way)and a well dressed and polished looking person..Train your employees better,I used to work security and can spot a thief a mile away. .Stop picking and choosing who's merchandise to hold, it's not cool and it makes you and CVS look very incompetent not too mention it makes for a very uncomfortable shopping experience all together.
