Towanna Williams 4 months agoWow! I'm really surprised at these negative reviews. However, I can't speak to anyone else's experience but my own. Today, I had to pick up a prescription and the experience was so flawless I wanted to write a review. First, I'll speak on my experience today. I received a text message as I normally do that my prescriptions were ready for pickup. Today is a Friday- this pharmacy typically has LONG lines and little staff. The pharmacy opens at 10- they take a (1) hour lunch break at 1:30. I showed up right before noon and there was no one in line. SHOCKER! The pharmacist was stocking orders but noticed me quickly in line and helped me right away with my pick up order. I will say that within the time I was done there were a bunch of people lined up behind me so that was quick and typical of the busyness of the location. My order was ready but I had an additional issue to resolve and felt guilty for asking for help since there were others in line. But this angel walked me over to another terminal and resolved the issue immediately with a quickness and a smile on her face while calling me by name after I remembered to pronounce her name correctly. Miss NYO ,,,,,,,,, I've been using this pharmacy for a couple of years for my monthly meds- there have been changes in my insurance when it's come to meds as far as co-pay and quantity amount. I had Covered California (Blue Shield) which was helpful as I was laid off during the pandemic. I need my monthly meds. Initially, I used to get a 90 day supply at very little cost (under $2) for 2 prescriptions. Earlier last year, that changed and without notification from my insurance my cost was now $20 for (2). Surprising but I can still afford it. No big deal. Then with the change in our administration- most people under the ACA had to re-apply to qualify and I was no longer eligible and would have to go on Medi-Cal. The first month it happened, I was unable to get in touch with a social worker so when my prescription was due it was going to cost me over $100 which I didn't have but I needed my meds. The pharmacist over the phone did their best to apply every discount they could eventually making my payment $40 for (2) meds. After that, they were able to work with my new insurance to ensure my copay is $0. I'm not sure if the staff is completely new from the previous understaffed staff- but I appreciate that now when I walk up- I'm in and out in less than 15 minutes with lots of staff behind the scenes filling orders.
Scott Friend 6 months agoI have been filling the same medicine every month for over 10 years. Up until several months ago, never many issues. Now, Every. Single. Month. And it’s with every single medication! From cancelations to “contact the pharmacy” (which is a whole different kind of hell to deal with btw) But they always say nothing is wrong. Clearly something is wrong, but the lack of notification from either the pharmacy or CVS is what angers me more than anything else. Most of the workers are fine, some not. I have sympathy for retail pharmacy workers as it’s not easy. Most of which can be attributed to CVS directly but at times it doesn’t seem they make it any better.
Chris Deacy 9 months agoMost of the staff are nice, but the amount of issues I have with this pharmacy every single month, filling the same prescriptions, drive me insane. I don't know if it's CVS's internal systems or what, but I'd have left this pharmacy long ago if I didn't live so close. That's not even mentioning the crazy wait times as others have pointed out
Angela Burse 5 months agoThey get your prescription and don't fill it. They don't bother to contact you. When you call to ask about the status you get AI and a voicemail. The employee I just spoke to on the phone said he would not help me. I have a prescription sent there and he literally stated, " no I'm too busy to help you. Call back tomorrow. "
Anonymous Human 6 months agoPharmacist refused to do their job even when I had a senior manager from medi-cal on my phone explaining how to do it. The other pharmacists were too busy to help despite me being the only person in line for over an hour. This place is a scam
