Scheduled an appt for a typhoid vaccine for travel. Came in next day, checked in, they had me wait for awhile and eventually came out and told me the fridge had died night before, spoiling the vaccine. I’m pretty sure they made that up, just didn’t have the vaccine in stock and didn’t realize it until I had already come in

I have found the staff at the Montclair CVS to be extremely helpful. They know what they're doing, they just have A LOT to do. When we've had "issues", it's usually been with figuring out what our insurance company will cover. This can be complicated, but I have greatly appreciated that someone who works there has helped me figure it out.

The worst. Incompetent staff made everybody wait 30mins for a system reboot, then screwed up filling my prescription forcing another 15 mins of waiting, then took 15 more mins to actually fill the prescription. Meanwhile there was no cell signal in the store and their wifi crawls, making it impossible to do anything but read the labels on their laxatives shelf.

The recent closure of the Rite Aid next store and the departure of Drew, the head pharmacist, has made this once very chill pharmacy an absolute nightmare. There are always at least 15 people waiting in line and the “skip the line with the app express lane” system is ignored by the staff. You have to plan to spend at least 20-30 mins in this pharmacy to get your prescription no matter how straightforward your pickup is. This place is literally minutes away from my house and I’m almost certain driving elsewhere would save time. It’s sad that the only pharmacy in Montclair can’t get it together.

Another absolutely terrible CVS pharmacy who refuses to help you over the phone even for a second and will keep you on hold for as long as it takes you to hang up. I really hope CVS goes bankrupted some point.
