Melanie P 5 months ago1/1/26 Update: truly thee worst store for so many reasons. I wish I could give negative stars for my anger. Went back in today to see what the situation is like today to buy a gluten free over the counter med that I actaully acquired there once, otherwise I wouldn’t have ever returned since I learned my lesson the first two times. Thank You to all who call out these horrible people. It is NOT like that at the location in Safeway plaza. I’m disgusted how this location, cvs or rite aid still exists. How are these people STILL allowed to work!? Second time a different pharmacist was rude, incompetent. All I did was ask whether the med I had in my hand was gluten free. You might think it was rocket science to help check. Store wasn’t busy, no one in line on Sunday at 11:15. I had initially asked the cashier at the pharmacy. Before I could even finish my sentence, the older gentleman held up his finger, waved me over to the pharmacist. I slid to the pharmacist to repeat. No clue if she even listened what I was asking. She told me to go to the front person to scan the item (the lady who I avoid at all costs due to horrible people relations.) The pharmacist (who is blonde, thick accent,) then dismissed me in a condescending explanation how from the front of the store to pharmacy is a zone, what the protocol is for asking to double check ingredients in the label.?!?! IF the PHARMACIST can’t help to ensure your tablet is gluten / dairy free, um-I’m not going to trust a general employee who is horrible. You think CVS will be ok with me dying or suing? I smiled & played dumb. I plan to meet the manager at this point. Disgusted. previous review: Second time the woman at the cash register in front is extremely RUDE. She has worked there for years when the store was Rite Aid. She actually sighed, rolled her eyeballs… twice as if I was the biggest problem by being there in her little world. God forbid- I didn’t understand her after I asked a question about using my coupon cvs bucks (which Evryone has seem to have a problem with here initially during the transfer.) I’m hearing impaired, showed her my hearing aids politely to self advocate & explain I was having a hard time hearing her through her mask & her accent BECAUSE I’m hearing impaired so she wouldn’t think I WAS RUDE! or anything.Imagine… I’m standing there self advocating worrying about HER & she’s huffing (2x) rolling her eyeballs dismissing me, actually “shooed” me away with her hands. Also third time I’ve had a problem with retrieving my prescriptions at the pharmacy. This time however, Andrew was there at the drop off spot where I had a question, and was VERY polite, respectful, helpful. Even friendly… which I gave him a compliment about. I will be speaking to the manager. The woman in the front needs more than a verbal warning having been through this 2x with her attitude. (The first time I returned something… like it was a crime.) She deserves to be booted for the lack of professionalism, confessing, argumentative attitude & stress she inflicted in me as a customer today. She wouldn’t even let me finish a sentence. She started out nice until I had a question & didn’t understand her. As a former teacher, I am advocating for anyone else with any kind of need that has to deal with her disrespect as a human. No human should be treated like this, let alone someone who advocates for themselves as a hearing impaired individual. I don’t crucify her with eye ball rolling and dirty looks because I don’t understand her - I deserve the same respect. I’ve avoided this location because of her and the quality of Rite Aid. My prescriptions got transferred over here when CVS (former Bartells in Jefferson Square) had to temporarily fix their water problem. I knew I was in trouble when my doctor called my prescription over here again by accident today, I hope CVS call me. I live AND work in the neighborhood. I can’t fathom being treated the way the cashier in the front treated me today or the the cashier at the pickup pharmacy has treated me in the past. APPAULED
Anthony Gitch 7 months agoAVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. CHOOSE QFC OR SAFEWAY IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND SANITY. This pharmacy is run like a sinking ship. The pharmacy manager is abrasive, dismissive, and refuses to own even the most obvious mistakes. My doctor sent the same prescription five times and received confirmation each time that CVS had it. Their own staff even told the doctor it would be ready in a few hours. But every time I called, I was told they had “no record” of it. Instead of fixing the problem, the pharmacy manager told me I could take my business elsewhere. That’s not leadership, that’s someone dodging responsibility while patients pay the price. And here’s the kicker: because it’s a controlled substance, it can’t be transferred once it’s stuck in their system. They know this. They just don’t care. This isn’t a minor inconvenience. It’s reckless. It puts patients in a bind they can’t easily get out of. If you need a pharmacy that actually communicates, respects customers, and takes basic responsibility for their own process, go anywhere else.
Meredeth Stucky 7 months agoWe have always used this pharmacy and because of the other remarks I almost went some where else. I'm glad I didn't. I'm sorry about those with a poor experience. Mine was the opposite. The script was called in at 4:45 yesterday afternoon and I got a call for pick up at 6:15. The pharmacist was asked to speak to me, she came right to the window and unhurried spent time explaining the drug for my 99 year old mother.
Aaron Frohreich 5 months agoIt took 4 visits to get a single prescription refilled. Each visit they said it would be available the next day and it wasn't. CVS does not seem to have access to your prescriptions from when this location was a Rite Aid, which seems to be why it took so long.
Diana Arbow 5 months agoAgain I am not disappointed by CVS’s poor customer service. I went to pick up a prescription, the tech had it in his hand and I just needed the receipt, instead he started helping a woman who came in after me and finished her transaction before giving me my prescription and receipt so I could go. I expect to be helped in the order I arrive and having to wait while he helped someone else was just plain rude. Would not use CVS, but seems we are forced to, so why should they care about customer service.
