I previously had an outstanding experience at this CVS location and left a very positive review because the team truly earned it: “I received truly exceptional care from the pharmacy team at this CVS. Mitchell C., Elliott S., and Jakob G. provided outstanding pharmacy service — they assisted me immediately, coordinated everything seamlessly, and had my prescriptions ready within minutes. The entire process was efficient, organized, and completely stress-free. Every interaction felt professional, respectful, and genuinely kind. Jakob G. thoughtfully identified available coupon savings, and David A., the front store manager, personally ensured the coupons were successfully applied. Their teamwork made the process effortless and resulted in meaningful cost savings. This was the first time I have ever received this level of proactive assistance with prescription pricing at CVS, and it made a significant difference in my experience. What especially stood out was how smoothly the pharmacy team handled my multiple profiles. Everything was managed discreetly and confidently without creating confusion or stress — an experience that has not always been the case at other CVS locations. I felt supported and respected throughout the entire interaction. The coordination between the pharmacy team and front store leadership reflects an exceptional level of service. I can honestly say I have rarely felt so well taken care of in a pharmacy setting. I look forward to continuing to shop at CVS Pharmacy more often because of this experience.” Unfortunately, my most recent visit was very frustrating. While two of my prescriptions were filled, my doxycycline prescription for STI prevention was not dispensed because the prescription did not explicitly include a maximum dose within a 24-hour period. I understand the importance of safety and appropriate prescribing. However, this is a time-sensitive preventive medication with clear, widely accepted dosing guidance. In practice, this type of issue is often a straightforward clarification. Because this occurred at night, contacting the prescriber was not immediately possible, leaving me without access to care when I needed it. While the pharmacy did send a message to my doctor and asked me to return the next day, that does not resolve the immediate, time-sensitive nature of this treatment. This situation highlights a gap between policy requirements and real-world patient care. When a medication is both time-sensitive and based on well-established guidance, there should be a more immediate and practical pathway to resolve minor prescription clarifications so patients are not left without necessary treatment. This location has clearly demonstrated it can provide exceptional care. I hope this experience leads to improvements in how similar situations are handled going forward.

The pharmacy (and store - but especially the pharmacy) staff at the N. 45th St. CVS are unfailingly polite, patient, friendly, helpful and professional. They are the reason we drive 15 minutes out of our way to get prescriptions filled, instead of walking to the CVS that is only a couple blocks away (N 85th St. - not worth the frustration factor.) Highly recommend the 45th St;. location - great people!

Pickups and vaccinations are always very quick, it’s pretty easy to get ahold of a pharmacist, and they are pretty quick to order medication which isn’t already in stock.

I don't often leave a review, but the frustration of insurance coverage in recent years has me wanting to commend a pharmacy that does what they can to help me find a way to stay medicated affordably by adjusting the refill frequency (1 month supply instead of 3 month supply). While this may or may not be a common practice, you can tell they truly empathize with their customers having to go through the frustrations of insurance providers to figure out how best to keep costs down. On top of that, the 4-5 people I have interacted with in the past year have been friendly and efficient. I get notification of my refills being ready within a day most of the time! Thanks for the great customer service!

I go there for my prescriptions but it's pretty easy to schedule vaccinations as well
