During the tornado tonight, I quickly got off the highway and headed into this CVS for shelter cause the sirens were going. They DENIED ME SHELTER. I proceeded to sit in my car, that’s when I actually saw the tornado, with my own eyes. I was lucky enough to be able to run to HyVee on foot and they gave me shelter. Me and my family will be boycotting this CVS out of protest, because that was a horrible display of humanity. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. I could have died and it would have been your guys fault.

I rarely write reviews, but my recent experience at this CVS MinuteClinic was extremely disappointing. I was seen on Friday for flu and COVID testing. The provider, Ashley, did not introduce herself or offer any greeting. The interaction felt abrupt and cold from the start. When you are already feeling ill, basic professionalism and bedside manner matter. The nasal swab was performed very aggressively, to the point that I experienced nasal bleeding after returning home. While I understand testing can be uncomfortable, this felt excessive. To make matters worse, I was told during the visit that my insurance “wasn’t working,” and I was required to pay nearly $500 out-of-pocket. After contacting my insurance company, I confirmed that my coverage is active. This added unnecessary stress to an already unpleasant visit. I hope this feedback is taken seriously. Patient care should include professionalism, compassion, and accurate billing practices.

CVS NW 64th This location looks to have good lighting inside and out. The exterior cleanliness is not great. The interior carpet is very dirty. Staff was friendly and helpful. The shelves were well stocked however the shelf I checked was dirty and not date rotated. Location has plenty of parking and parking includes handicap parking. The entry and doors are handicap accessible.

I am not sure why the location or the app says “walk-ins available” at their Minute Clinic. They won’t barely even honor their appointments scheduled. Understand that even if in the process of checking in to your appointment, it will cancel if you don’t complete the process within 5 minutes after your appointment time. After sitting here all day, waiting for a strep test, the clinician came out of her empty office multiple times to inform me that “they were really busy” and “booked full” and to return at my scheduled time, regardless of having to schedule for three appointments during the same day.

What's the point in having 2 drive thrus lanes in the pharmacy if one is just for show. The second lane has been full service for years. All you're doing is creating a longer single line.
