Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere. They told me my medication was in stock at 9am. When I tried to pick it up that evening, another pharmacist couldn't find my prescription in their system and told me they were out of stock. When I explained I was out of medication, there was no concern or urgency. The following morning the original pharmacist called, contradicting the evening pharmacist and confirming it was in stock. Every call requires leaving a voicemail and waiting 30-60 minutes for a callback. Their phone system drops calls and misdirects you to wrong voicemail boxes. Years ago I switched away after they twice refused to fill my prescription as written, telling me to ask my doctor to change it to suit them.

Employees are always friendly and helpful. Store is clean and well-organized. Pharmacists provided personal help when I returned from Emergency Room and needed specific products. It’s a great store. Website keeps listing my store as Oakland, but I have never been to Oakland. My store is the Lincoln Avenue store in San Jose.

Thinly staffed, many things out of stock, overall a frustrating experience not atypical of CVS stores in general.

The male manager with guages just shouted at me and called me an idiot. I needed help with something and the cashier needed to ask a manager. Right out of the gate he was barking at me, annoyed to be interrupted from his inventory. I tried to de-escalate and he insulted me to my face and again to his employees. Needless to say I'll be avoiding this store in the future. The female cashier was very nice. Only the manager seemed to be in a very bad mood.

We have visited the Lincoln Ave CVS today, it is the nearest to us. Several times while paying for the medications we were helped by April. Upbeat, smart, helpful. CVS is lucky to have her. Thank you April.
