I’ve been a patient at this pharmacy for nearly 4 years, and they recently changed their phone system so that patients can no longer speak to a member of the Pharmacy team directly, even in cases of an emergency. I have medication that was sent in over a week ago, and couldn’t get filled because the provider needed to renew their license with the state of Illinois board. 1. Instead of being able to have a simple phone call with the pharmacy, I was forced to leave a message. So I called back and selected the provider line, where I was actually able to reach a pharmacist (who was not busy, by the way). She was very snarky with me and told me that I needed to exclusively use the patient voicemail feature moving forward. 2. However, the pharmacist did disclose that they tried to reach my provider to resolve the issue 7 days ago. But no ever reached out to me “the patient” to see if I could bridge the gap, after their attempts failed. Mind you, I haven’t had access medication in almost two weeks. So I would’ve run the risk of leaving a message and not hearing back from anyone for possibly 48 hours because they want to be weird about things instead of proactive and solutions based. And had the pharmacy called me after they were unable to reach the provider, I could’ve reached out to my provider soon sooner. I’m just learning that this is an issue. I never responded to the pharmacist’s agitation and hostile comments telling me what I should be doing regarding the phone line, and I never gave her any feedback. I simply said thank you, I’ll reach out to the provider and hung up the phone. Because of how this was handled, and her lecturing me at the beginning of the phone call, I’ll be moving all of my prescriptions over to a different pharmacy. Not another CVS location, but a competitor (likely Walgreens). Please better train your staff on soft skills because it’s actually a part of their job.

Unfortunately, the front cashier working on 4/14/26 at 5pm displayed a miserable attitude, and gaslit me, a paying customer, in the process. I placed a pick up order earlier in the day and came in later after work to pick it up. Front cashier first tells me to wait while she finished putting stock away on the shelves. I then saw the same product I already purchased online at the register, but at 75% off. I asked if there was any way I could get a refund on my pick up order and purchase the 75% off item instead. “Well your order is already packaged in the bag.” “So there’s no way I can return a pick up order?” “I need an order number from your email.” I show her order number. “No I need the barcode, it’s in your email.” “I received 3 cvs emails and none have a barcode.” “Well how about you look further for the barcode and let me know while you find it.” Front cashier then started to walk away. I said forget it, it was fine. After picking up my original order, I get the barcode email. The dumb cashier didn’t realize she had to confirm I picked up my order first on her end first, before cvs sent me a return barcode. 🚨 Attitude adjustment desperately needed 🚨

Cannie Wilk and Faye Yang are the greatest, most compassionate, and knowledgeable pharmacists we have ever encountered. It’s particularly because of them that we continue to come to only the CVS pharmacy at Hubbard and Orleans for all of our prescriptions. On several occasion, by observing, I see, these people care about others. I trust them and recommend them fully and without hesitation.

Giving 1 star because pharmacist Carmine (or Carmina) has been consistently rude and condescending. She failed to provide clear guidance on my medication and treats customers with disrespect. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable and should be grounds for termination.

My health care provider during a recent Minute Clinic visit provided excellent medical care. Although I initially encountered a significant billing issue with CVS and posted a more negative review, their social media team subsequently responded and addressed my concerns.
