It's CVS. Not a lot of stand-alone competition left. Pricing based on convenience rather than trying to be competitive, unless you use store e-coupons. Closing for lunch every day very inconvenient and frustrating, because it seems like the only time I show up!

I love doing my online orders because I work full-time and go to school full-time but it’s a little frustrating that online it says it’s available for delivery and nine times out of 10 my orders are always canceled and then I end up having to go pick it up anyway. Other than that, I love my five dollars a month that I pay for my membership because I am obsessed with the amount of discounts I get at this store. I wish the CVS took the place of the Rite Aid in Tierrasanta.

I had to update my review for this location. The CVS app has gone through some changes and I couldn't find my cash rewards, but I knew I had some. I asked the cashier for some help and he said I don't know how to use the app, I said well cancel my transaction because I have enough rewards to only pay a couple of bucks for my purchase. I asked if there was anyone available to help my find my rewards, he said no. I said well that sucks, and he said "hey, I just work here". It would be smart to familiarize the staff with the app, because when there are changes, it's frustrating to lose rewards because no one in the CVS store can help in this area of the app. The only reason I shop at CVS and pay for their membership is because of the rewards. If I don't have rewards, I won't shop here. Too bad. The poor customer service explains why their stores are so empty. Now I have to cancel my membership.

They deleted my other review so I'll post it again. If you call you are forced to go through the most tedious, useless, counter intuitive AI assistant to ask the most basic questions. There is no way around it. If you don't want to give your personal information or the AI doesn't understand you it hangs up. There is no options for other languages, the AI talks so slowly that if you start answering before it finishes it doesn't register what you said and hangs up. I will be canceling my prescriptions and never stepping foot into another CVS because of this.

I wanted to mention how attentive and helpful Charlie was. When we pressed the call for help button we could here from afar how "he got this one" and was very quick in coming over. And when checking out, I caught glimpses of how helpful he was with another customer. He had such a great attitude. We need more Charlie's in this world.
