Edgar Cardenas a month agoBelieve the reviews! Im surprised CVS as a company is allowing this store to operate as is. Eventually some lawsuit by someone will arise because of how poorly this location is managed. The store appearance is dirty the moment you walk in(health related issues here), shelves are understock, no one truly "assisting" the customers, more so the elderly. 1 star because one employee genuinely came up to me and asked if I needed help finding a item of which he went to the back and found it for me (not stocked in shelves). Other than that very poor and negative experience. The female* employee in front; one couldn't even tell she was an employee, even the elderly woman in front of me asked "can I get a cvs employee to help me with the scanner?" Only then, she proceeded to but In a rude manner. She was rude and pretty much unhelpful for both the elderly women in front me. Her facial expressions and demeanor of "I really don't want to be here" then followed on to me. The scanners were plain dirty, the glass was dirty and that's probably some cause to why items were not scanning properly. Her whole attitude and vibe just set me off because no customer should be treated in this manner more so if we're the ones doing all the work (scanning the items). When I asked for a manager to speak with She said it was a gentlemen wearing a red shirt (I don't believe he was truly the store manager but a shift leader at that based on how he handled the situation). He did try helping at first, female worker said she didn't want to deal with me no more, again rude. On top of that the "manager" started getting on me calling me rude for giving him the feedback of what I just experienced. Yes it came out as negative feedback because it was a negative experience. Never said anything insulting but rather feedback of one can be doing like "she could be cleaning the glass on the scanner to see if that resolves the issue but instead she chooses to stand there". Just observations and feedback from a customer. If that is rude or hurts you then its clear the store staff needs more training or simply put dont work retail; take the feedback and learn from it. Both the female worker and the "manager" said that the self check out registers are there only registers in the store and that they no longer scan the items themselves. I have yet been into a cvs store where this is true; what if the self scanners lost power or malfunctioning then what? Store closes? If your going to practice a "all customers do self-check out", have someone actually helpful in the front and not someone looking to trigger your customers; because that's what happened, she upset 3 customers while I was there, I just spoke up.
Regina Karsh-Helsten 2 months agoThis store has competitive prices and is pleasing to walk through. I do most of my shopping online but end up paying more for less. I'll definitely come back to CVS, especially for the next purchase coupons. The cashier was very friendly, which made my day, because I work from home and don't get out to socialize much during the week.
Mason Huss 4 months agoI have a diagnosed medical condition for which I am prescribed a controlled medication and have been prescribed this medication for over a decade. My insurance fights me each year on the pre-authorization process where they have to go back and forth with my doctor to get my medication approved. I just went to CVS to pickup my medication out of pocket due to this pre-authorization issues that I always face with my insurance. The medication costs $260, I found a GoodRx coupon for $80. The pharmacy tech told me “the pharmacist here doesn’t feel comfortable accepting GoodRx for controlled prescriptions” I obviously complained, why should I pay $260 because the pharmacist wants me to? That doesn’t seem like a reason. The pharmacy tech said “well it is weird when people buy controlled substances out of pocket” How in gods name can you be pharmacists and pharmacy techs and find it “weird” that a patient had to pay out of pocket. They deal with insurance companies everyday. Quite gross and judgmental behavior from the pharmacist and its techs. Making people pay HUNDREDS of dollars extra because they have an unprofessional judgement towards people on controlled prescriptions. Do not go to this pharmacy if you are on any sort of controlled medication- they will make unprofessional comments and make you pay WAY more. Kind of still in shock by it
Jake Sim 3 months agoPharmacy has incorrect hours listed on the website & on apple maps. When I went to go pick up my medications, there were pharmacy employees behind in the area who rudely refused to help. If you have new hours, you need to ensure that they are listed on all platforms, otherwise ppl who NEED their medications cannot get them.
Nikolas Wright 3 months agoYes, I am writing a review of a CVS. Pharmacy is generally fine (thus two stars instead of one), although we've switched over to the 48X pharmacy at UCD Med Center. (Or the CVS at the Target on 4th/65th). Walking in here feels like some dystopian joke. It didn't always used to be like this - this was a normal CVS pre-pandemic. But now, upon entering, all the lights are on but nobody is home except for the pharmacists tucked away in the back of the store, glued to their monitors and dealing with drive-ups and pick-ups. It's like walking into someone's house where everyone just quickly left. Half the shelves are empty, even the ones behind plastic lockers. Products on the shelves look like a group of toddlers came through the store and moved everything around. Recently, I walked in for some allergy nose spray that was behind a locked case. I pushed the "customer help" button, which announces over the PA: "Customer help needed in the allergy section." I pushed this button several times, waited for 5+ minutes, and no one came. Eventually, someone in the liquor section was pushing a similar button. So for 5 more minutes, the entire store was hearing calls for help from the allergy and liquor department. I gave up and left. As I was walking out, past the locked-up deodorants, someone had apparently wedged open a plastic barrier to the Old Spice, triggering an infernal alarm: the final act of a frustrated shopper. Never once during my ~15 mins in the store did I see an employee. I went to Pucci's Pharmacy down the street on Folsom and got my Flonase there. This CVS really reminded me of the Walgreens on Stockton/Broadway, gradually sliding downhill before closing for good. Which is sad. But man, this place sucks. Do not shop at this CVS unless you want a retail experience inspired by Idiocracy.
