HELPFUL W/ FRIENDLY STAFF! I walked in on a Tuesday night looking for contact lens cleaner and other eye care products. This location on Silverbell was super clean, organized and, efficient. I found my items within 5 mins and gathered other products for my trip in Tucson. My family and I were impressed with the easy checkout system and polite staff. I saw a younger gentleman treating an older couple with genuine care and kindness. It’s nice seeing staff give customers some time to chat. The store wasn’t busy so he took a quick minute to brighten their day! I’ll definitely return to this location, the prices weren’t insane and I got tons of travel-size goodies.

I rushed from work to pick up a prescription because I am in severe pain and leaving the state tomorrow. I arrived at the drive-thru at 6:56 p.m. (already closed), ran inside, and reached the counter at 6:58 p.m. I was told “we’re closed” while the gate was being pulled down, even though it was not 7:00 pm. I understand businesses close at a set time, but I do not understand is the lack of compassion and empathy. When I explained that I was traveling out of state and urgently needed my medication, the pharmacist responded, “Not my problem. You can transfer it to any CVS,” and repeatedly insisted it was 7:00 p.m.. It was not. Her colleague stood by and supported the response. Patients who come to a pharmacy are often in pain, vulnerable, or facing urgent medical situations. Saying “not my problem” to someone seeking prescribed medication, even if it is their closing time, is not just poor customer service, it is a failure of basic human decency. Healthcare is not retail. Empathy should not be optional. Leadership should reflect on what kind of culture is being created when staff feel comfortable dismissing a patient in visible distress. Policies are one thing. Humanity is another. I left in tears and will be transferring my prescriptions elsewhere. No matter what my insurance covers, I will not return to this location.

The drive thru is a waste of time, you could knock on the window and they would ignore you. You’ll be sitting out there for an hour before anyone acknowledges you. Inside it’s not much different. It feels like their hours are always shifting so it’s also hard to even go when they’re open

I love my neighborhood CVS I shop there often. The employees are the best ! Mercy is a rockstar she always goes the extra mile !

They are giving out non-sterile needles to patients at this location! I have a medication that I need to take as an injection in my muscle and they tried to give me non-sterile needles for my injection, rudest staff I've ever dealt with at a pharmacy the needles were unsealed which is not sterile and it's illegal to give out unsealed needles to patients. I went to a different CVS location and was told they only receive sealed needles from their vendor and when I spoke to corporate I was told the same thing that they only receive sealed needles from their vendor, so how this location could have gotten their hands on unsealed needles is extremely worrying. When I spoke to the manager of this location he was extremely rude to me, he insulted me over the phone making discriminatory comments about my voice and called me "stupid" because of my vocabulary. I am shocked and disgusted, what they tried to do was illegal and I could have gotten a life-threatening infection if I used the needles they were trying to give me. - Update: I sent an email to the email address that CVS provided in the reply to my review and got an email back asking for me phone number, so I sent my phone number and was told that I would be hearing back from CVS regarding the situation. It has been over a month and I haven't received any phone call, I sent another email asking for an update a few weeks ago and got no response. I highly advise any patient who is apart of any marginalized community to stay away from this CVS location as it's not a safe place for anyone who is non-white/disabled/LGBTQ+/unhoused. I never even felt like it was important in my initial review to mention the constant frustration I would have to deal with from the pharmacist whenever I told them my very ethnic name which is something I've never experienced from a different CVS location, I have been getting my prescriptions from CVS ever since I was a kid and I've only ever had kind and welcoming experiences at CVS, this is the only CVS location I ever went to where I had to endure discrimination from not only the staff but the managers too and I do not think it's a coincidence that is the only location that tried to give me non-sterile needles. I'm currently going to a different CVS location and it was actually the pharmacists at the current CVS location I go to that urged me to report this to the Arizona board of pharmacy. Please do not come this location unless you are a straight cis white man, the pharmacists will tamper with your prescriptions if you are apart of a minority group to try to cause bodily harm to you. It is terrifying that this kind of violence is apart of the places we have to go to for our health, please stay safe and do research on the proper and legal way for how your prescriptions are supposed to be given to you.
